Founder & Principal
Iqbal Aasim has helped clients identify and deliver more than $400 million in value across Fortune 500 companies, consumer goods businesses and private equity portfolios.
Before founding Zai Team in 2019, Iqbal was a Manager at Kearney in New York, leading supply chain and procurement transformations for automotive, retail, chemical, semiconductor and consumer goods clients. Since then, Iqbal has led turnarounds and transformations for PE-backed companies, served as interim head of procurement, and helped clients put AI to work.
Iqbal began as a merchant marine officer, running oil and chemical tankers through ports in more than 50 countries without a single incident. That early lesson in running complex operations where mistakes are not an option still shapes how Zai Team works.
